Homeopathic Allergy Relief and Indoor Activities

Posted on

If you suffer from seasonal allergies, springtime can be pretty rough sometimes. It is, after all, the worst time of year for people who are allergic to pollen and other outdoor allergens.

As an allergy sufferer, there will be days that you won’t want to go outside, due to high pollen counts. But this doesn’t mean you have to flop on the couch and indulge in shows on Netflix, there are plenty of healthier activities that you can indulge in.

Allergena, your source for Homeopathic allergy relief, offers indoor activities that will keep you occupied throughout the allergy season.

Read a Good Book

Knowing that you have to stay indoors isn't always fun, especially if the weather is perfect. But this doesn’t mean the whole day is a wash, so quit moping around and read a good book.

If you are like us, chances are you have a whole stack of books you have collected over the years with the intention of reading all of them. But we all get caught up in other things and the books we promised ourselves we would read and enjoy wind up on the bookcase collecting dust.

What’s worse is when you have company over and somebody asks if you have read the collection of books on the bookcase and you don’t want to lie.

Well, on high pollen days when you are stuck inside, crack open a few of those books and get on your summer reading list.

See a Movie

Catching a matinee is a great way to spend an afternoon avoiding the outdoor pollen. Feel free to invite family members or friends and make it a fun time for all.

If the movie you choose turns out to be a snoozer, bring a blanket and pillow so you can simply nap it out.

Game Time

Games are fun for kids to be sure, but adults can have fun playing games as well. Whip out that old Trivial Pursuit game and see if you have garnered wisdom since the last time you played it.

You can also go old school and play some Yahtzee, Life or Monopoly. In fact, there are so many games on the market that you will have a difficult time narrowing your choices down.

If there is nobody around to play games with you, there are other alternatives. For example, there are any number of game apps on your smartphone, tablet or computer that will keep you gleefully occupied for the entire day. We suggest Candy Crush, but the type of game you choose is up to you.

Karaoke

There isn’t one person out there who hasn’t dreamed about fronting a fictional band and belting out an awesome tune that you love. YouTube is a treasure chest of backing tracks and lyrics, so throw songs up on the big screen and show the world what you are made of.

Arts and Crafts

After you are finished killing it on Eye of the Tiger, go sit at the dining room table and create some funky necklaces and bracelets.

All you need to make your own jewelry is some wire and beads.

Organize Your Music

There are several ways in which you have collected music over the years, and they are all quite disorganized. So spend the day sorting through and organizing your music.

It is easy enough to break out your CD or album collection and organize them into alphabetical order. Unless, of course, you would rather organize them by music genre. Just know that Metallica does not belong under death metal. Everybody knows they are a thrash band.

We are willing to bet that you have music on your computer and smartphone as well. You can spend the afternoon organizing your downloaded music, because we are sure it is a mess right now.

Knit or Crochet

Knitting and crocheting are so in right now. And even if you are a guy, don’t knock these activities. Not only can you knit some pretty cool things, like a beanie or mittens, but you get to work on your fine motor skills as well.

Of course, you can also order allergy remedies from Allergena and you won’t have to spend as much time indoors. But then, you wouldn’t have yourself a nice pair of knitted mittens.
