Can You Get Allergies in the Winter?
Posted by
onFor some reason, it seems that the fall season passes more quickly than the rest of them. This means that soon we will be bundling up for winter. For those who suffer from autumn allergies, this is likely a relief. However, just because your fall allergies are gone, doesn’t mean you won’t be dealing with winter allergies.
Winter Allergies Are Real
It’s a common thought that people simply do not get allergies in the winter. However, this is not the case. Many people suffer from extreme allergy symptoms in the winter season. While they may not be reacting to the allergens in the air outside, spending so much time indoors can render the same results. People who have allergies to things like pet dander, indoor mold and/or dust mites, are often exposed to these things far more frequently when it is cold outside.
What Can Trigger Winter Allergies?
It may seem strange but some of the oddest things can trigger winter allergies. When you pull out your holiday decorations, make sure that they are mold-free. Having these decorations out around your house when they are covered in dust or mold can absolutely cause you to experience winter allergies. Additionally, it’s a great idea to invest in a humidifier in order to keep allergens in your home to a minimum.
Fighting Back
